Joseph Addo-Yobo
Executive Director

Joseph Addo -Yobo is a pharmacist and a global health professional with over 24 years’ experience in leading and managing private sector health programs for maternal neonatal and child health, reproductive health, family planning, HIV/AIDS, and malaria across Africa and the Eastern Caribbean. His areas of expertise include: building viable commercial markets for essential health commodities, health commodities supply chains, scaling up use of essential health commodities; social marketing and behavior change communication; business development and fund raising for NGOs and social interventions, design and implementation of innovative Base of the Pyramid strategies; policy dialogue; regulation of private health sector providers; business development services for health entrepreneurs in developing countries; and quality improvement.

Joseph has led and successfully managed programs and nurtured relationships with several donors and multilateral agencies including USAID, DFID, JICA, Global fund, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation among others. He has also held leadership positions in the United States, Nigeria, and Ghana at the Academy for Educational Development, AstraZeneca, and Johnson and Johnson International, and Abt Associates.

He currently serves as a member of the Global Child Health Taskforce steering committee and serves as the co-chair of the private sector working group.

Currently, he is the Executive Director of Total Family Health Organisation and volunteers as the Chief of Staff for Ghana’s COVID-19 Response Secretariat under the Office of the President of Ghana.
